Job Title: Process Technician III

Job Description

As a Process Technician Level 3, you will ensure presses are started and running to standard processes and troubleshoot those not up to standards. You will also develop and maintain standard operator instructions and process set-up sheets, assist in developing all mold operators, and process a variety of engineering materials including PVC, ABS, PC, PP, Flame Retardant ABS, and Flame Retardant PC Valox.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure presses are started and running to standard processes and troubleshoot those not up to standards.

  • Troubleshoot molding machines to bring parts into specifications for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, etc.

  • Develop and maintain standard operator instructions and process set-up sheets.

  • Help develop all mold operators.

  • Process a variety of engineering materials, including but not limited to: PVC, ABS, PC, PP, Flame Retardant ABS, and Flame Retardant PC Valox.

  • Participate in developing action plans to resolve problems with safety, quality, production, delivery, and 5S.

  • Prepare maintenance work orders and ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance programs.

  • Document improvements and problems with molds, presses, secondary equipment, etc.

  • Perform all duties associated with changing injection molds, including material set up, mold change, setting processes to black book, and inspecting parts for quality adherence.

  • Actively participate in the 5S program.

Essential Skills

  • Prior injection molding processing experience, typically 5+ years.

  • Production troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with plastic molding and setup.

  • Ability to develop standard operator instructions and process set-up sheets.

  • Knowledge of a variety of engineering materials such as PVC, ABS, PC, PP, Flame Retardant ABS, and Flame Retardant PC Valox.

  • Preventive maintenance skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
