Amazon HR Associate, Screening Services in San Jose, Costa Rica

This is a seasonal contract of 4 months

As a member of Amazon’s Screening Services Operations team, the Adjudication Senior Associate will support the business by reviewing results and determining hiring eligibility based on a risk analysis and various factors specific to each situation.

The Senior Associate will provide ongoing support; act as a central point for resolution and management of the day-to-day transactions of several programs through diverse electronic platforms.

The ideal person will be organized, exhibit excellent business judgment, and be able to take a set of facts and make determinations about their potential risk to Amazon. This person will be able to work effectively with internal and external contacts, have the ability to process large volumes of cases, understand the regulatory landscape related to background checks, and understand workflow and forecasting. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and organizational skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Person must also possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with the customer service focus that the world associates with and expects from Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • BGC program support including adjudication and troubleshooting.

  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate candidate eligibility.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of BGC processes and procedures.

  • Follows-up with candidates on pending documents.

  • Communicate to partners and employees on data findings and information.

  • Navigate various vendor and internal systems to determine if a record or process defect exists.

  • Manage confidential and sensitive employee information and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ months of human resources experience

  • 6+ months of customer service experience

  • Experience in confidential environments

  • 6+ months of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced college education in a related field (Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Engineering or alike)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of human resources experience

  • 1+ years of customer service experience

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, analytical and critical thinking skills
