Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in San Jose, California for a Payroll Manager to join us. This role is primarily focused on ensuring accurate and timely payroll cycles, including wages, overtime, and deductions, in adherence to regulations. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to improve operations with a focus on exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire payroll process and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Verify payroll control reports for accuracy.
• Manage tax submission, year-end processes, and audits.
• Ensure the accurate submission and processing of bi-weekly contributions and union fees.
• Lead audits to ensure payroll data accuracy.
• Serve as the primary contact for staff and agencies on payroll-related issues.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
• Drive continuous improvements in payroll processes.
• Implement best practices in payroll management.
• Maintain compliant and effective leave administration.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll Supervisor/Manager
• Proficiency in 403b administration
• Extensive knowledge of accounting functions is required
• Experience in auditing is a must
• Familiarity with benefit functions is necessary
• Proficiency in using Paycom software
• Knowledge of 403B plans is required
• Must have a strong understanding of FLSA
• Experience in managing workers' compensation
• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred
