Minimum qualifications:

5 years of experience with software development in Python or C++ programming language, and with data structures/algorithms.
Experience with machine learning or machine learning algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience with Natural Language Processing or Large Language Models.
Experience with Android Development.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Our team is building GenAI features on Pixel that is personal, private, and on device. We believe technology has emerged (LLMs) to enable such an agent and create a differentiated and transformative experience, especially with Pixel's unique take on hardware (e.g. Tensor chip), software, and AI.
This project will work on many cutting-edge problems, such as: LLM, AI agent's interaction with tools/APIs, private and personalized AI, etc.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Design machine learning systems for new GenAI features on Pixel phones.
Develop and tune machine learning models.
Propose, design, and implement data collection solutions.
Design evaluation framework and carry out evaluations of the machine learning models.
Stay up-to-date on the latest machine learning techniques and technologies and apply them to our technical solutions.
