Robert Half Software Engineer in San Antonio, Texas
Description We are situated in San Antonio, Texas, and are currently looking for a Software Engineer to become a part of our team. The role primarily involves a blend of product ownership and software development, where you will be responsible for supporting various solutions such as PIM, Martech, HRIS, ERP, Analytics, and eCommerce.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze the needs of the business and design, test, and develop software or systems that match those needs.
• Stay updated on current technology, ensuring company systems are up-to-date with the latest enhancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
• Work with user-focused departments to define the self-service user experience, support, and monitoring for customers.
• Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
• Lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
• Utilize skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, eCommerce, Shopify. Requirements
• Proven experience in software engineering, with a minimum of three years in a similar role
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Apache Struts and C++
• Demonstrable experience with Database management
• Familiarity with EO/IR systems
• Experience with Hibernate ORM
• Knowledge of AB Testing methodologies
• Proficiency in Ajax
• Experience with API Development
• Knowledge of ASP.NET framework
• Proficiency in CSS
• Experience in eCommerce platform development, especially Shopify
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
