Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Mid and Lead-Level KC-135 Fanduct Equipment and Tool Engineers to become part of the Production Engineering Group in San Antonio, Texas.
The incumbent will spend up to 4 months in Hazelwood, Missouri for training.
The Boeing San Antonio Core Engineering team is looking for an Equipment and Tool Engineer to support the Phase 3 Fanduct tool design. The position will be responsible for assisting the fan duct program in the following: shipside operational support, developing long term manufacturing solutions, and tooling integration. In addition, the role will assist the team in the creation of key milestones for the overhaul process and a prioritized delivery schedule for 2025. This position will be responsible for designing the tooling to put the fanduct into production.
Position Responsibilities (Level Dependent):
Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.
Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
Performs studies and make recommendation for disposition of assets.
Works under minimal direction.
Performs other duties as assigned and may be requested to support other programs as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
3+ years of experience in working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role.
3+ years of experience in developing conceptual designs for tooling fixtures.
Working knowledge of Catia V5 or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience or an equivalent work.
5+ years of experience in working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role.
5+ years of experience in developing conceptual designs for tooling fixtures.
3+ years of experience with CATIA and/or SolidWorks CAD/CAM software.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Mid-Level Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
Lead-Level Summary pay range: $110,500- $149,500
