Job Summary
The Division of Pediatric Administration at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Computer Systems Administrator. Provides desktop support and services to manage the Department’s information technology infrastructure. The applicant must have strong diagnostic skills and a desire to continually learn and master new technologies. The Department supports a Microsoft server environment with both Windows and Apple OSX clients. The Systems Administrator performs a wide variety of technical tasks including client and server computer diagnostics, maintenance, new builds, upgrades, software installations, patch management, and working with end users to provide trouble ticket resolutions that align with business metrics.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
20% Monitor multiple systems for compliance and track down machines that fall out of compliance.
60% Provide daily desktop support for customers with Apple and Windows Clients
10% Perform system upgrades and re-image department computers.
10% Works with customers and the Peds IT team to facilitate new IT projects within the department.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
