Utah Correctional Industries is seeking a Production Manager in Salt Lake City,UT to direct and oversee a certain area within the production/service operations.   Job Functions Include:

• Oversee building of modular homes.
• Production and quality control of Utah Correctional Industries products and services.
• Direct and/or coordinate construction programs.
• Supervise staff.
• Assist in budget development/implementation.
• Coordinate materials purchases/deliveries.  
• Instruction and training to staff and offenders involved in learning a trade. 
• Adherence to safety and security guidelines,policies and practices while working in and around this environment. 

The Ideal Candidate:

• Background in construction
• Basic understanding of the inmate classification and disciplinary system for inmate management.
• Deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity,tact,and professionalism.
• Exercise authority or influence.
• Control or direct the operation of production an/or service operation.
• Compose and produce reports,documents and related material.
• Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts,explore alternatives,and propose quality solutions.
