Summary
We are currently recruiting for an Associate Cost Accountant who will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting areas within the Property Department in accordance with GAAP and Corporate accounting policies. These duties will include processing of Capital and Lease Expenditure Requests, maintaining of the asset master files, preparation and publishing of various asset and project related reports, preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform monthly closing duties as assigned by management. Such duties shall include journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, preparation and publishing asset and project related reports.
Process capital and lease expenditure requests.
Maintain asset master files by processing asset maintenance forms.
Assist with special projects or ad hoc requests and provide back up support when needed.
Provide support to internal customers as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus a minimum of 0 - 1 years related work experience.
Strong PC skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills; demonstrate skill in team building and conflict resolution; demonstrate good planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively. Individual will need to be a fast learner that is able to thrive in change.
Must be able to work independently with moderate supervision.
PREFERRED: Experience in SAP 6.0/S4, Maximo, OneStream, Promenta. Property accounting background.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
