Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Application Systems Administrator with demonstrated competence and thought leadership capability to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. This position is a critical role within the Swift Technology team and will be focused on supporting tasks required by Swift. This position will be responsible for all tasks required to ensure U.S. Bank remains in compliance with Swift’s expectations and requirements.

In this role, individual will:

  • Complete installation and testing of updated functionalities received from Swift.

  • Create tasks for identified stories and assist with prioritization of requests in Kanban backlog.

  • Complete certification requirements.

  • Participate, and complete, tasks to confirm adherence to switch-away requirements.

  • Perform daily operations, processes and controls required to ensure system remains in compliance with Swift’s expectations.

  • Help coordinate and drive remediation of identified risks and control deficiencies.

  • Be included in rotating on-call schedule.

  • Lead and assist with resolving incident response and technical investigations as needed.

  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Six or more years of experience in application development

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Swift multi-platform interfaces

  • Experience in Kanban/Agile

  • Working knowledge of IT service, change and problem management

  • Extensive knowledge of IT systems management

  • Extensive knowledge of system software infrastructure, distribution and installation/support

  • Working knowledge of application delivery including release management

  • Working knowledge of hardware infrastructure

  • Strong problem-solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $102,340.00 - $120,400.00 - $132,440.00
