Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an opportunity to be part of our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where the selected candidate will take on the role of an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role is crucial within our non-profit client's organization and involves hands-on work with accounts receivable duties. This position is a contract opportunity, contributing to the financial health and stability of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily deposits and review cash receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare journal entries for the accounting system, ensuring all transactions are recorded.

• Collaborate with the team to conduct check runs and ensure smooth financial operations.

• Deliver quality customer service, addressing and resolving queries or issues related to accounts receivable.

• Manage cash applications, ensuring all cash receipts are applied correctly and promptly.

• Conduct bank deposits at the desk, including scanning checks for record-keeping.

• Perform reconciliations of accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and take necessary actions for collection.

• Work closely with other team members to improve and streamline the accounts receivable process.

• Utilize your skills in Accounts Receivable to maintain financial records and reports.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounts Receivable (AR) software tools

• Demonstrated experience in the non-profit sector

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

• Proven record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Familiarity with federal, state, and non-profit accounting policies.
