We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team in the non-profit industry in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role primarily involves managing and processing accounts receivable, using various accounting software systems, and contributing to the overall financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Batch daily cash receipts and organize them according to the accounts receivable system for application.

• Accurately enter and reconcile daily cash receipts.

• Apply cash receipts to invoices and investigate any discrepancies.

• Conduct research on missing payment information to ensure complete and accurate records.

• Review and apply unapplied cash reports to maintain accurate account balances.

• Analyze and process refund requests in line with our financial policies.

• Handle branch banking cash receipts and apply them appropriately.

• Conduct regular reviews of aging reports to identify trends and recommend actions to maintain healthy cash flow.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial data is in order.

• Use accounting software systems, including Great Plains and Microsoft Excel, to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, Great Plains (GPAC), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with Billing Functions and Cash Activity management.

• Knowledge of Check Processing and ability to handle high volumes of checks.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar finance-related positions.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems is essential.

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is a valuable asset.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Demonstrated understanding of accounting functions.

• Proven experience in accounts receivable (AR) and billing functions.

• Ability to handle cash activity and check processing efficiently and accurately.

• Must have excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
