Shift : Days- 8am-4:30pm, no nights or weekends
Starting Pay : 26.01 minimum (Offers are based on years of experience and equity for this role.)
Shift Differentials : Increases for Evenings, Nights, & Weekends based on State and Job Profile
Sign-on Bonus Eligible – $2,000 (Sign-on bonuses are for external qualified candidates. Internal candidates – check with your recruiter to see what options are available for you)
Job Summary:
Responsible for the purchase of pharmaceutical and supplies under the procedures set by pharmacy administrations. Ensures appropriate levels of medications inventory and the segregation and removal of outdated or recalled products. Strives for contract compliance and low-cost items.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Works cooperatively with internal and external customers to meet their needs for information on items such as product information, drug recall issues, or pricing.
Develops and maintains effective partnerships with vendors.
Contact vendors regarding pricing discrepancies, errors in medications received, manufacturer back orders, or to ensure service level expectations are being met.
Meets managerial needs for information requests in a timely manner; provides pertinent information for decision making, problem solving and management reports.
Keeps internal customers informed of medication shortages or delays.
Reviews medication orders for completeness and deviations in normal ordering patterns.
Works with requester(s) to discuss and resolve concerns before placing order.
Maintains a log of invoices received by outside vendors, processes the invoice processing system, creates the appropriate invoice approval paperwork and allocates the invoice amount to the appropriate pharmacy sub-account.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
EXPERIENCE
- Threeyears’ experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Rare climbing.
