Production Supervisor
B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Production Supervisor in our Russellville, AL location.
What you will be doing:
This position will d irect personnel on job duties and tasks. Possess extensive product knowledge. Have strong schedule attainment is a priority. Able and willing to teach others. Recognize and correct quality problems when they appear.
Job Duties & Requirements:
Maintain clean, safe, organized work area.
Maintain equipment by planning and carrying out PM’s as prescribed by documented procedure and by creating documented procedure for PM’s wherever needed.
Produce product of exceptional quality by implementing QA approach to meeting company production objectives.
Coach and train employees in policy and procedure regarding safety, quality and productivity in that order of importance.
Plan and assign daily tasks geared toward meeting daily schedule and departmental goals to area employees.
Review needs of materials daily and notify manager of shortfalls in product and materials at least one day in advance of day’s production.
Actively participate in process improvement projects geared toward cost savings in labor and materials without sacrificing safety or quality.
Provide leadership by example for all employees.
Review performance and attendance of line employees and foremen, document performance and disciplinary actions.
Ensure proper reporting of production, quality inspection, scrap, and RMA’s.
Any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
The skills and experience you need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Four years of experience in a position of similar responsibility in manufacturing.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product designs, safety, quality, and workflow needs.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent, preferred.
Work with high emphasis on safety and quality.
Able to effectively manage people, personalities, and challenges.
Able to efficiently perform required work in a simplified, organized, and effective manner.
Able to effectively communicate with Production Manager, upper management, and employees.
Able to interact with vendors & service providers.
Strong documentation skills, reporting skills and computer skills.
Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
