In your role as a Senior Research Operations Program Manager, you'll play a crucial part in increasing the impact of our research efforts. You'll lead the development of our knowledge management practice and facilitate the discovery and application of research insights across the organization and beyond. This is your chance to demonstrate your strengths and interests to influence and craft various facets of research operations.
This role collaborates closely with our research, product, design, and engineering teams and leadership throughout Cisco. You will also have the opportunity to share research operations standard processes through blog posts and industry events, extending your influence beyond our organization.
Your Impact
You believe that Research Ops encapsulates more than just recruitment and it involves the people, processes, tools, and strategies that enable research at scale (i.e.: service design). Your expertise in knowledge management and architecture, along with your strengths in program design, implementation, and maintenance, will be crucial in this role.
Responsibilities include.
Cultivate a culture and practices that empower researchers and PWDRs build upon existing knowledge in scalable and impactful ways.
Advance the visibility, discoverability and adoption of insights by developing processes, tooling, services and training to promote data triangulation, secondary research, insights exploration, and operationalizing information requests for different audiences including researchers and partners
Partner with researchers and research leadership to define how insights are recorded, managed, curated, discovered, visualized and used
Lead and maintain primary and secondary data and insights used to evolve user personas based on JTBD framework
Develop success metrics, track, communicate and drive improvements
Curate and socialize research updates throughout the Security Design Organization and beyond
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a knowledge or information management role, or a research role that involves library, information management, or information technology responsibilities.
Proven ability to build and manage research libraries, effectively organizing complex and diverse research outputs.
Demonstrated success in program development, including crafting, implementing, and measuring the impact of programs with substantial software components.
Proficiency in tools and technology: Dovetail and SharePoint, including the ability to build on SharePoint. Must be comfortable working in an experimental environment and working with emerging technology (i.e. AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation, graph and linked data)
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Library Sciences, either through formal education or professional experience
Experience with leading Research communications and developing communications strategies to promote insights adoption at a company level
Experience in technical B2B user research and/or cybersecurity
Project management background: ability to lead sophisticated projects and set achievable, measurable goals with effective outcomes
