BREWER SCIENCE INC Industrial HVACR Specialist in Rolla, Missouri

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technologysolutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We arecurrently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentalityto fill an open position as an Industrial HVACR Specialist. Thisposition will be located in Rolla, MO.

Summary:

Performs a variety of HVAC tasks in order to care for plantstructures, utility systems, and production equipment. Possesses anunderstanding of Building HVAC Automation Controls, has prior trainingon air handler maintenance and programming, and experience working withwalk-in/reaching freezer/refrigerated units. Working knowledge of BACnetnetworking systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and other various equipment.
  • Installs new equipment, performs FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) to ensure equipment performs properly.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical wiring, ventilation, exhaust, heating, air conditioning, pumps, and compressors.
  • Performs welding, brazing, drilling, grinding, shaping, painting, carpentry, pneumatics, lubricating, and cleaning.
  • Safely uses a variety of ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks in the operation of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilating systems in buildings; repairs and maintains boilers, pipes, thermostats, air filters, pumps, waste and oil pressure indicators, blower fans, belts, and bearings; operates computerized heating/cooling equipment for large, complex systems at centralized and decentralized building plants; troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs/re-programs electric, electronic, and pneumatic controls of buildings by reading schematics and using computer energy management software; oversees contract compliance and contractor work on HVAC repair and replacement projects; leads and/or instructs Building Maintenance Workers in performance of routine maintenance of HVAC equipment; designs and installs new small- to medium-sized HVAC systems; performs data entry related to preventative maintenance; calculates amount of refrigerant to be used in air conditioning systems.
  • Keeps all regulatory required records related to HVAC work.

Education and Credentials:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Universal certification preferred or the ability to obtain this in 6 months

  • HVAC Certified

  • Three years of journey-level experience operating, maintaining, and repairing boiler equipment including experience operating, maintaining, and repairing ventilating and air conditioning equipment

  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Risk of air contamination, i.e. dust, fumes, smoke, toxic conditions, disagreeable odors but PPE available
