Northwest Farm Credit Services Accounting Analyst in Rocklin, California

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of an Accounting Analyst I, II, or III to join our Controller department in Rocklin, California. This full-time position reports to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for preparing and ensuring high quality accounting and reporting of the organization's financial information including providing technical expertise on complex accounting matters. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Rocklin, California, is: Level I: $66,000 - $99,000; bonus at target is 8% of salary. Level II: $72,000 - $109,000; bonus at target is 10% of salary. Level III: $79,000 - $137,000; bonus at target is 10% or 12% of salary depending on experience. Job Requirements Ensure accuracy of financial and regulatory reporting by monitoring and analyzing general ledger activity. Prepare journal entries and reconciliations of varying complexity. Develop, enhance, or manage various internal controls to ensure a strong control environment is maintained. Develop and maintain analytics to ensure accounting and reporting is accurate and timely. Provide technical guidance and research on moderate to complex accounting matters related to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory guidance; work with others within the organization, as well as external auditors, to ensure proper accounting and reporting methods are followed. Provide input on existing systems functionality and design; serve as a representative on work groups as assigned, which may include serving as the lead in design, testing, and implementation of new processes or systems, software upgrades, and automation projects for the team. Assist in preparation of Quarterly and Annual Report in addition to other regulatory reporting needs. Take ownership of problem identification and solution implementation. Identify and implement process improvements. Mentor other team members and assists team manager with identification of training needs, communication of conceptual accounting concepts, as well as peer review of workpapers, journal entries, technical accounting memos, and reconciliations. Communicate on behalf of the team with individuals throughout the organization, including executive management. Assist in the coordination of the organization's annual external audit by facilities auditor requests, monitoring outstanding tasks, and participating in recurring status meetings. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties as assigned.
