At VES LLC, we are committed to provided our clients innovative and effective solutions to meet their needs.VES, LLC seeks a Application Developer to assume responsibility for the persistence layer of AXS. You will develop a Spring Boot microservice that exposes REST-based and message-based APIs that hide the persistence-level implementation details. This position can be performed remotely, however there will be occasional travel to the work site in Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.The Application Developer will:Utilize code generation techniques to more quickly handle data model updates that are provided from the System Engineering Team.Utilize Java Persistence API (JPA) for database updates and retrievals when working with the Postgres relational database.Develop database schemas with entity relationships based on systems engineering data models.Ensure entity relationships are maintained in the database to include referential intergrity.Generate data transfer objects (DTOs) that are leveraged by other services to store and retrieve entities.Assist with cyber "hardening" of software to ensure the delivered software is secure and meets required cyber security standards.Design, develop, and maintain internal tooling used in the creation of various software products.Working closely with your teammates to solve problems and produce high-quality software.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university within Computer Science or a related field.Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
