University of Rochester Sr Financial Analyst in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Sr. Financial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and enhancing the current financial management systems. Maintaining and disseminating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and productivity reports. Responsible for management of internal financial reporting, classification of expenses and funds, general accounts, endowment and gift accounts, and third-party reimbursement systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and develops detail specifications for financial management system to assure timely and accurate generation of reports to guide senior management. Develops and maintains detailed analysis of various statistical and financial information to be used for financial reporting and reimbursement. This role conducts specialized and complex analysis of financial data in support of the Division functions. Responsible for providing senior management with the analysis and information they need to make timely operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

  • As assigned, assumes responsibility for special projects involving financial planning and recommending changes, including budget modifications and BIP creation.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report for Senior Leadership. Monthly reconciling of general ledger to Business assets and year end tasks.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or like area required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Highly organized, keen attention to detail, team-oriented, strong reconciliation, and analytical skills required.

  • CLASP certified preferred.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $68,765 - $103,147 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
