BorgWarner Inc. Tax Specialist in Reynosa, Mexico
Objective
Lead the activities of the tax area, with the purpose of guaranteeing that the company that is part of the PDS group complies with the tax requirements and thus, avoid deviations and additional costs to the company.
• Analyze and plan tax strategies that help the company reduce tax impacts and risks within the legal framework.
• Will be the contact link between external advisors for the Mexican entity and local users, as well as request information or analysis that helps verify correct compliance with Mexican tax obligations .
• Attention to statutory, governmental and other audits applicable to the tax área .
• Reduce cost from outside services company, covering the activities inside of our plant
• Review, evaluation and implementation of tax changes applicable to the company.
Responsibilities
• Preparation work papers to determine monthly tax payments,
• T ax calculations for adjustment and annual returns, informative returns, etc., in accordance with the dates established by law. ·
• Reconciliation of tax accounting accounts. ·
• Review, evaluation and implementation of tax changes applicable to group companies. ·
• Prepare reports for Corporate or external advisors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in the systems required for such purposes. ·
• Attention to statutory, governmental and other audits applicable to the area of taxes and ·
• Comply with the Matrix of Responsibilities and Authorities of the Environmental Management System, Format: 600-01-02 ·
• Lead the activities of the tax area, with the purpose of guaranteeing that the companies that are part of the PDS Reynosa comply with the tax requirements and thus, avoid deviations and additional costs to the company. ·
• Complete in a timely manner the monthly, annual and quarterly reports in the OneSource system of the legal entity.
• Analyze and plan tax strategies that help the company reduce tax impacts and risks within the legal framework.
• Will be the contact link between external advisors for the American entity and local users, as well as request information or analysis that helps verify correct compliance with American tax obligations.
• Coordinate together with external advisors for the Reynosa BorgWarner PDS entity the compliance with fiscal obligations regarding local, state and federal taxes to which it is obliged in the United States and Canada.
