Job Title: Cook I
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cook I to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for different meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. This position is essentially a short order Grill Cook role where you will be taking orders directly from guests and preparing their meals in front of them. If you are comfortable interacting with guests one-on-one and enjoy cooking, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities
Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for different meal periods.
Take orders directly from guests and prepare items in front of them.
Prepare breakfast items such as omelets, eggs to order, and breakfast sandwiches.
Prepare lunch items including burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, quesadillas, chicken tenders, and fries.
Ensure all food items are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Essential Skills
3-4 years of experience in food service.
Proficiency in food preparation and cooking.
Experience as a line cook or in a similar role.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a cook, kitchen worker, or utility worker.

Work Environment
You will work onsite at a cafeteria setting in RTP. The schedule is Monday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Tuesday to Thursday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.53 - $18.00/hr.
