Job Description Summary

The USCAN OTR is accountable for the yearly execution of over $2Billions in both orders and sales. The USCAN OTR Shared Services Operations Leader is responsible for the timely, accurate, and compliant Order Execution across the HCS USCAN organization via order assessment/entry, segments of backlog management, and project management of installation activities as required. The Shared Services Operations Leader manages communications between the local teams, and shared services leadership as it pertains to daily operations and Process updates. Finally, they are responsible for developing and executing a roadmap to further expansion of capability within the shared services team and project support.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee USCAN OTR shared service resources, including hiring, training and managing team members, in partnership with GEHC OTR leaders, sourcing, finance, and our 3rd Party leadership team. This position will be the GE Healthcare USCAN OTR representative in managing the 3rd Party relationship throughout the year, as well as during annual contract review and negotiations of the 3rd Party contract and services, including the statement of work. This responsibility also will include quarterly payments and changes to services made throughout the year.

  • Develop and lead GE Subject Matter Experts across all segments to help standardize, document, and sustain standard work throughout the USCAN Order Management, Fulfillment & HPM teams that are performed by our shared service team members.

  • Own the USCAN Shared Services Business Continuity plans and strategies, validating mitigation plans and ensuring our business is prepared in case plans need to be enacted on to ensure minimum business impact.

  • Work with Healthcare Project Management & Order Management Leadership, Team Experts, and external stakeholders to report metrics regarding status, timeliness, and quality of shared services output. This includes things like: First Past Yield, turn- around time on assigned tasks, volume of work execution, and audit results for quality.

  • Collaborate with Team Managers to identify and streamline existing processes for improvement as well as automation opportunities to create capacity and improve accuracy of shared service team member performance.

  • Lead the Project Support Group that supports our USCAN Imaging and PCS HPM project managers complete their daily standard work and stay ahead of critical project management functions.

  • Create the Road Map to operationalize best in class strategy around consistent processes and the successful transfer of support to the Shared Services Teams.

  • Utilize and leverage new and existing data to create seamless processes, coverage, and escalation for abnormality handling for daily as well as End of Quarter operational success.

  • Develop and deploy excellent communication with Local Team Experts and shared service team members to strengthen working relationships and a one team atmosphere.

  • Assure the shared services team adheres to applicable policies and processes to ensure compliance.

  • Identify and categorize processing defects and partner with appropriate stakeholders to resolve for the shared services team. Ensure SMEs are leveraging this information to ensure our Shared Service team members continue to grow and improve. Work with our 3rd Party and OTR leaders to drive average tenure to 2 years or more within our Shared Service Team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain

  • 5 years or more work experience in manufacturing, logistics, material management, warehousing, or other operational capacity.

  • 5 years or more work experience in a highly regulated industry such as the medical field.

  • Proven ability to work in a global, cross-functional and matrix environment.

  • Proven ability to lead and grow a high performing team of direct and non-direct reports.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience leading a Shared Services team with third party company team members

  • Master’s degree in business or supply chain

  • PMP or Lean Expertise, including Lean Six Sigma process methodology

  • Experience working in a Region OTR/Commercial Operations setting

  • Knowledge of sales and/or project management of installation processes within the Diagnostic Imaging, Life Care Solutions, and/or Ultrasound space

  • Experience in operational manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and distribution, or supply chain management

  • Experience with working in ERP systems (Oracle & eOM)

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, including experience in communicating with others from different countries and culture
