LTCG Senior Compliance Analyst- Licensing and Legislation in REMOTE, Minnesota

With illumifin, there’s a brighter future The Senior Compliance Analyst –supports illumifin by complying with state and federal requirements for licensing maintenance, renewals and reporting for Third Party Administrators and Secretary of State registrations for illumifin, its independent adjusters, Partnership agencies and related entities. This includes representing the company with state Departments of Insurance and Secretaries of State. Accountable for compilation and filing of LTCI related client reporting for various contracted entities. Related accountability for surety bond maintenance and renewals. This position is also responsible for independent and effective research, analysis and summary of impactful laws, and the distribution of legislation notices to internal and/or external contacts. Acts as compliance team subject matter expert of the compliance system, LTC Partnership and regulatory related policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include peer review, policy and procedure maintenance, internal reporting and trends, and compliance system testing. Other duties and projects as assigned may include training, topic mentoring, output review and direction to Compliance Analyst and Senior Compliance Analyst, and involvement in Compliance operations activities as warranted. * Licensing – Third Party Administrator/Administrator * Legislation searches, analysis and determination of in scope, impactful items for summary * Accountable for NY Independent Adjuster licensing, renewals, cybersecurity exemptions * Works with Supervisor, Compliance on ad hoc state notifications as needed (changes in officers/BOD) * Acts as illumifin contact for state Departments of Insurance and Secretaries of State for inquiries and notices. * Delivers approved legislation notices to selected audience. * Maintains correct state surety bonds based on state law and client requirements * Requests appropriate Certificates of Insurance from illumifin’s insurance broker based on state laws and client contract requirements * Supports Supervisor and Director, Compliance with assigned tasks, such as thorough independent research, analysis and appropriate output. * Provides training, output review and direction to Associate Compliance Analyst. * Policy and Procedure maintenance by topic/process. * Compliance system (CREW) advancement and testing. * Contributes to the continuous improvement of the department. * Brings innovation, contributes beyond assigned tasks, encourages morale. * Works independently under general supervision with appropriate updates to leadership on progress and risks and some latitude for independent judgment. * Leads annual LTCI Client reporting data compilation and filings. * Leads coordination and review of regulatory projects. * Conducts monthly internal reporting and trend analysis. * Works under direction of Supervisor, Compliance to handle regulatory, audit and market conduct exam needs. * Acts as compliance team subject matter expert of the compliance system, LTC Partnership and regulatory related policies and procedures. * Provides advice and consultation for problems requiring advanced experience. * Supports Associate Compliance Analyst and Compliance Analyst with training and quality review. * Conducts the full range of compliance tasks. * Bachelor's degree or 8 years of increasingly complex experience working in insurance/healthcare administration and/or compliance. * 8+ years of experience with state filings and/or licensure * 8+ years’ experience communicating with Departments of Insurance and/or Secretaries of State to satisfy requirements and resolve issues. * 6+ years of experience analyzing laws, determining impact to business administration, and working with multiple business unit leaders to implement. * 5+ years Long Term Care, life, annuity, health insurance or related experience. * Strong communication and time management/task prioritization skills * Effective Analytical skills with quantitative, creative thinking and problem-solving skills * Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks, risk, and deadlines Preferred * AHIP designations in: * Long Term Care Professional; or * HIPAA Professional * Healthcare Compliance Accreditations/Certifications * Paralegal certificate Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
