Job Title: Technical Writer (AI/ML)
Job Description
Join our team to identify, measure, and mitigate Responsible AI issues in enterprise products powered by generative AI technology. You'll be a member of an interdisciplinary product team working in close collaboration with partners such as Gen AI Research. You'll develop measurement artifacts methods practices and tools for identifying measuring or mitigating RAI harms caused by large-scale language technologies. You'll use expertise in linguistics and the social sciences to identify patterns across different content harms and capture those patterns in methods practices resources and tools that can be applied across different language technologies use cases and deployment contexts.
Responsibilities
Conduct deep dives in partnership with feature teams to identify and measure Responsible AI harms.
Develop measurement artifacts, methods, practices, and tools for identifying, measuring, or mitigating AI harms caused by large-scale language technologies.
Use expertise in linguistics and social sciences to identify patterns across different content harms.
Capture these patterns in methods, practices, resources, and tools that can be applied across different language technologies, use cases, and deployment contexts.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in linguistics or a related social science field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
Minimum1 years experience with interacting with generative AI AI Safety or Responsible AI
Minimum 3 years of experience with content design.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Excel.
Experience interacting with generative AI, AI Safety, or Responsible AI.
Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on Responsible AI assessment of generative AI-powered systems.
Prior experience with Microsoft is a plus.
Ability to manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position with a slight preference for candidates in the Puget Sound area for potential hybrid work. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. All necessary equipment such as a laptop, mouse, headset, and extra monitor will be provided.
Compensation
$50-60/hourly.
