Job Description: Create, align, and execute sourcing and category strategies to continuously reevaluate and optimize Microsoft's enterprise-wide logistical functions or supply chain. Lead the development and execution of global supply positioning strategies across all stages of the product lifecycle, ensuring that inventory is positioned to deliver working capital, cost, and service goals.  Collaborate with Product Marketing, Finance & various groups within Supply Chain to establish and manage supply plan of record.  Continually look for ways to drive business profitability by planning and executing a predictable, reliable & low-cost supply chain. Evaluate metrics and processes, such as best value, supplier cost competitiveness, and product lifecycle including continuity of fulfillment and supply, and supply-base development and oversight. Collaborate with cross functional teams to aggregate the diverse demands of Microsoft's businesses and identify, develop, manage, and optimize suppliers, systems, processes, and organizational capabilities and capacity. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, or related workers involved in procuring materials, products, or services. Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business verticals. Create, align, and execute sourcing and category strategies to continuously reevaluate and optimize Microsoft's enterprise-wide logistical functions or supply chain. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Six (6) years of supply chain experience in new product introduction or supply planning or demand management and forecasting or channel operations management. 

SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires: six (6) years of experience in leading cross functional teams on complex projects, managing day to day project communications, advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, quantitative & qualitative analysis in cross functional/org enterprise environment; two (2) years of experience in Supporting and improving business operations involving program or process or product management, and Product management; six (6) months of experience in Product planning reports; and education or experience in Advanced financial/business modeling/reporting and operations management.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (TSKBV16904), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $179,100 to $209,100 per year.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?
