MICROSOFT CORP Service Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Research and test operating systems-level software compilers, and network distribution software. Plan, architect, deploy, or support complex client/server or base software systems. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. Establish standards for a design, architecture, and recovery process that results in comprehensive, scalable recovery plans across multiple groups and services. Develop or contribute to creating an implementation, validation, and rollback plan. Lead investigations of problems by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in gathering customer oriented business and technical requirement and User Acceptance Testing.* *

SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires: four (4) years of experience in Azure; three (3) years of experience in .NET Framework, and C#; two (2) years of experience in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Cloud development, and Scripting; and six (6) months of experience in WCF Services.

 

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (TSKBN17141), in Redmond, WA, is $182,312 to $212,312.  

 

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?

 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
