Responsible for developing or testing computer software applications, systems or services. Conduct research and lead research collaborations that yield new insights, theories, and analyses. Evaluate data, algorithms, and prototypes that advance state-of-the-art technology. Develop reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Produce business intelligence (BI) information by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Design and build BI solutions that improve Microsoft products. Analyze data using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Document and share best practices for BI and reporting, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of Microsoft products. Telecommute work permitted 50% or more (but not 100%) within the same geographic area as assigned Microsoft office location.
* Minimum Requirements:*
- EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science; Business Analytics; Data Analytics; Business Intelligence; Statistics; Math; Finance; or similar quantitative or analytics field.
- EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Six (6) years of experience progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in gathering requirements, preparing specifications, and developing data models.
- SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: This position also requires 60 months of experience in the following: .NET/.NET Framework and Big data modeling and analysis; 48 months of experience in each of the following: Azure Services and Azure; Cloud development; Distributed Systems; and Report Building tools (PowerBI, Lens); and 36 months of experience in Kusto (Azure Data Explorer).

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (Job Code: TSKBR18371), in Redmond, WA, is $183,581 to $213,581.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
