Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Vertical Mill Operator who can efficiently run vertical mills (no lathes involved). The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, making offset adjustments daily, setting X and Y zero points, and ensuring adherence to safety start-up procedures. You will be responsible for setting up and tearing down materials on the vertical mills, documenting daily activities, and prioritizing work, especially in situations where machine breakdowns occur.
Hard Skills
Operation of CNC Vertical Mills
Reading and understanding blueprints
Making offset adjustments
Setting X and Y zero points
Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens’ controls
Setup and teardown of materials
Soft Skills
Ability to document activities
Prioritization skills
Ability to perform job duties satisfactorily
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
Heavy industrial facility with large CNC machines, manufacturing large/long railroad equipment. Temperature variations are notable with very hot conditions in summer and cold in winter.
