Job Overview

Iron Mountain's ALM (Asset Lifecycle Management) business in Damastown Industrial Park, Dublin, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Driver / Technician. This dual-role position involves travelling to client sites to collect hardware, utilising a ticketing system to manage orders and requests, and ensuring top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical aptitude, excellent driving skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Collection and Delivery: Travel to client sites across Dublin and surrounding areas to collect and deliver hardware. Ensure the safe and secure transportation of equipment, adhering to company protocols and standards.

  • Ticketing System Management: Use the company’s ticketing system to receive, process, and complete orders and service requests. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and interactions in the system.

  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during site visits, providing friendly and efficient service. Address client enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary.

  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during transportation and handling of hardware. Ensure all collected and delivered equipment is logged correctly and securely.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience and Education: Proven experience in a similar driver/technician role, preferably within the technology or logistics sector. A valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Technical certification or equivalent experience in hardware support is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using ticketing systems and related software. Basic knowledge of computer hardware

  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle customer queries and issues with patience and professionalism.

  • Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and organisational skills. Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment. Willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
