Aerotek Metal Stud Framer in Queen Creek, Arizona

Hello! We are currently hiring for Metal Stud Framer!!

Must be open to travelling to all parts of the Valley from Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Queen Creek as that is where the projects are.

Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled Metal Stud Framer to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, constructing, and installing metal studs, framed partitions, and various types of bulkheads.

  • You will work from plans and blueprints, ensuring all construction standards are met, and be responsible for installing corner and ceiling beads.

  • This role may also involve cleanup, scrapping, moving materials, tools, or equipment, as well as erecting and dismantling scaffolds.

  • This is an excellent opportunity for those with a experience in commercial construction and metal stud framing.

Responsibilities

  • Cut metal studs to size

  • Construct and install framed partitions and various types of bulkheads

  • Layout from plans and blueprints, or adhere to construction standards

  • Install corner and ceiling beads

  • Perform cleanup, scrapping, and move materials, tools, or equipment as needed

  • Erect and dismantle scaffolds

  • Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars

  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs

  • Conform to all company policies and procedures

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year commercial framing experience

  • 1+ year metal stud framing experience

  • Proficiency with power tools and hand tools (e.g., Drywall Gun, Impact Driver, Drywall Router, Screw gun, rotozip, hammer, gyp knife, tape measure)

  • Ability to lift and carry 120 lbs

  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding

  • Experience with drywall hanging, finish carpentry, commercial construction, and rough carpentry

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in drywall installation and finishing

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and standards

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

  • You will work on new construction sites, including data centers, commercial buildings, and hotels.

  • The work environment can be hot, both indoors and outdoors, and requires standing for long periods.

  • You will work at heights, using ladders and scaffolding, and must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

  • Equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts will be used.

  • The position typically starts early in the morning (5:30/6:00 am), with a standard 40-hour workweek, and may require overtime of 10+ hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.65 - $30.20/hr.
