Performs various duties necessary to ensure that accurate and proper inventory levels are maintained for material, tooling and general supplies. Organizes and maintains stock of direct materials and/or other components. Maintains chemical storage facility. Prepares shipments and completes paperwork for outbound freight. Routes incoming material to proper departments. Reviews, documents, and checks incoming and/or outgoing shipment orders for accuracy. Compiles and maintains computerized records such as material inventory. Assists Operations planning by monitoring and verifying inventory levels and lost sequences and/or heat numbers. Packages finished good materials and generates shipping orders to ensure delivery to customers. May package assemblies for shipment. Participates in purchasing activities, ensuring material is received within the required timeframe to meet schedules; may include ordering products directly or indirectly from vendors. Coordinates the gathering of components of inventory and documentation necessary to release the job to production, which can include tooling, fixturing, gaging, etc. and the various corresponding documentation necessary. Also ensures the prompt return of excess material, components and tooling. May perform cycle counts on inventory classes and year end tasks associated with financial audits as well review of work area according to department audit sheet. May be required to perform minor assembly functions, such as assembling component parts, performing minor set-up on machines, and visually and/or dimensionally inspecting parts and/or completed assemblies, etc. May also be required to complete corresponding documentation. Timely and regular attendance. Performs other functions as required. Education & Experience: Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum Experience: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, regulated industry experience preferred

Special Skills: Strong organizational skills. Strong computer skills. Ability to communicate and work with those inside and outside the department, handle multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly. Ability to follow appropriate department policies, procedures and practices. Specialized Knowledge: Familiar with production procedures. o Has thorough knowledge of procedures, work methods, and set-ups within the department. o Knowledge of JDE system desired.
