Oracle Senior Applications Engineer in PUNE, India

Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications. As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Duties involved in this position:

  • Implementation of and customization and enhancements to the Value Chain Planning suite of products including Supply Chain Planning/Demand Management/Inventory Optimization/Service Parts Planning/Strategic Network Optimization.

  • Develop and implement new custom tools and product extensions / customizations based on state of the art algorithms in optimization, statistics and machine learning.

  • Predictive analytics using Oracle Data Mining, Oracle R Enterprise.

-- Enthusiasm and passion for building next-gen enterprise apps

-- Enthusiasm and passion for gaining domain knowledge in Supply Chain Planning

-- Knowledge of one or more of the following languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Java, J2EE, Ojet, VBCS, Helidon, Spring Boot

-- 2 to 4 years of IT experience

-- Good communication (English), organizational and interpersonal skills

--Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills

-- Ability to present ideas in business & user friendly language

-- Ability to deliver effectively in a team setting as well as independently

-- Ability to work in a fast paced virtual environment that demands coordination across time-zones

-- Exposure to Oracle Fusion Applications or any other ERP will be an added advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

-- Graduate / Post Graduate(B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech., M.S./ M.E. /M.Tech. / MCA) from reputed universities with a sound academic record
