What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $18.54- $25.56 per hour (depending on qualifications)

What will I do?
Input and retrieve data from a computer including specialized software programs for the IT division.
Maintain files and records, including organizing and establishing appropriate filing processes.
Greet customers in-person, online, and on calls and answer questions about services.
Type reports, forms, and other documents.
Make copies and operate general office equipment and machines.
Provide information from reports and records, including confidential information.
Design and edit forms and correspondence for final review.
Transcribe documents from audio files.
Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
Maintain calendars and schedule meetings, appointments, and conferences.
Take notes at meetings as needed.
May assist with bookkeeping responsibilities, including handling cash, program budgets and expenditures.
Handle billing, requisitions, and purchase orders.
May assist with payroll and time tracking responsibilities.
Perform other related duties as required.
What do I need to apply?
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Two (2) years of clerical experience.
OR an equivalent combination of job-related education and experience [substituting each 1 year of post-secondary education/training for 6 months of experience.
Specific experience using specialized computers or software packages may be required.
A valid, lawful Driver license may be required.
What is the schedule?
Negotiable. Twenty hours a week between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
Requires standing at a counter or sitting at a desk or computer for long time periods. Some positions require shift work, extensive walking, driving, or light lifting (10-30 lbs.). Work is inside with little or no occupational hazards present. Some positions may include exposure to high-stress situations or environments, including, contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on March 13, 2025. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
