Key Responsibilities and Major Duties

This role is part of Business Intelligence and Reporting Solutions team, responsible as the U.S. Home Office lead analyst supporting the U.S. commercial business units by delivering reports, data, metrics, trends, and insights the help US commercial brand strategic decision making. The role will also lead the commercial BIA launch performance workstream for upcoming brand/indication launches to ensure successful execution of launch plan.

  • US HQ Brand and Portfolio Performance Management

  • Lead launch reporting solutions in the Neurology space throughout pre-launch and commercialization phases; collaborate with cross-functional analytics leads to generate post-launch insights and drive decision making

  • Lead the workstream to define performance metrics, report design, implementation plan and platform choices for inline brands and indications

  • Ensures appropriate service delivery to US leadership Executives and Brand Team as defined by stakeholder needs and Performance Management leadership direction. Facilitate business performance review meetings and related analytics requests

  • Centralizes and streamlines executive ad-hoc queries and Performance Management requests

  • Analyzes output of Performance Management services against stakeholder needs to ensure identified needs are addressed appropriately

  • Performs QA/QC for all executive Performance Management deliverables and is responsible for issue escalation to Performance Management leadership where appropriate

  • Work closely with other capability leads to identify unmet reporting needs

  • US Industry research and support:

  • Provide ad-hoc data, information, and investigate business questions to answer internal commercial business unit questions regarding brand performance, marketplace activity, competitor product activity, or other pharmaceutical market changes in support of decision making for the U.S. commercial organization. Data may include country, wholesaler, product, physician, payer, plan, outlet, or patient (APLD) sales information, analysis, or external analyst reports

  • Be a key point of contact within the commercial organization to help assist people in understanding the pharmaceutical sales data, explain the terminology, and train people on supporting data, reporting, and information systems

  • Be a liaison between the commercial and digital organizations to facilitate insights and report automation and enable accelerated decision making

  • Be a thought leader in the department and participant in BMS secondary data strategy refinement, evaluate new options

  • Internal departments supported including Analytics, Forecasting, Market Research, Data Strategy, Marketing and Sales, Finance, Investor Relations, and/or company leadership

  • Collaborate with BMS Hyderabad team to direct operational guiding principles, prioritize BMS commercial business units dashboard creation and delivery, assign resources to projects, resolve issues, monitor workflow, collect stakeholder feedback and enhancement requests. Ensure all business unit organizational dashboards and reports are as error free, delivered in a fast and timely manner, are of high quality, and continue to be refreshed and enhanced for organization decision making and performance measurement and tracking.

  • Support the U.S. commercial business report planning and integration processes with any BMS acquisition and merger companies

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required

  • MBA or Masters in a quantitative major or concentration preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing reporting solutions for launch products, ideally within the neurology and/or immunology therapeutic areas

  • 3+ years of experience developing and using advanced analytics and reporting techniques in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Significant experience with pharmaceutical secondary data, including but not limited to the areas of, national and sub-national claims, patient journey, field execution and market access

  • Proficient in analyzing large, complex data sets using a programming language such as SQL, Python, or R; strong expertise in Excel functions, including but limited to, pivot table, pivot chart, sumifs, and vlookup.

  • Strong hands-on experience in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI; working knowledge of Alteryx is preferred

  • Experience analyzing net sales and gross demand; working knowledge in GTN and trade analytics preferred

  • Thorough understanding of end-to-end reporting analytics framework ranging from data management, business requirement documentation, metrics development, UI/UX design, and report management

  • Deep knowledge and functional expertise in enterprise performance management including methodologies and applications. Ability to frame analytic findings in a digestible and business friendly format that identifies key business implications. Creative business problem solving skills to design processes and deliver timely results for requests.

  • Highly developed analytic and information integration skills, ability to draw inferences from disparate pieces of data; identify key findings; and link to implications and provide recommendations

  • Strong project management skills, able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines

  • Experience work with diverse teams across different functions, operating successfully in a complex organization environment

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, comfortable to lead discussion and present in a large group setting, and ability to deliver precise message across the matrix team via written and verbal communication
