Job Title: Business Analyst (Contractor role)

3 month Contract

Location - NYC or Princeton NJ

Hybrid roe - 3 days in the office

Pay Range: 70-90 an Hour

Role Overview:

The Business Analyst (BA) for the IGA Program will be a policy and documentation specialist who is responsible for gathering, creating, organizing, and updating policies, processes, procedures, guidelines, bulletins, and other such communications for cybersecurity and related technologies. The BA will work closely with stakeholders across business units, Legal and Compliance, IT teams, and other functions to facilitate process standardization and other materials as needed to ensure compliance with NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, and SOX regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure cyber documentation needs conform with company standards and applicable frameworks.

  • Organize, manage, and report regular updates to cyber policies, processes, and procedures using knowledge and information management (KM/IM) practices.

  • Conduct doctrinal gap analyses in support of Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and company policy updates.

  • Primary subject matter expert and resource for identifying issues and facilitating solutions related to formal cybersecurity practices.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in technical writing using Google Workspace platform.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into multiple, readable formats.

  • Experience with conducting policy, process, and procedural revisions.

  • Strong knowledge of IT and cybersecurity principles and concepts.

  • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Lucidchart.

Business & Analytical Skills:

  • Understanding of workflow management and business process optimization.

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving.

  • Experience as a KM/IM or Intranet administrator is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally (Security, IT, Compliance, HR, etc.).

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Adaptability to changing business and technology landscapes.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

  • 3-7 years as a Business Analyst in IT or Cyber programs.

  • Experience in enterprise-wide technology implementations.

  • Background in security, compliance, or risk management projects is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
