Description
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher to join an esteemed client in the logistics and transportation industry in Princeton, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service. The hours for the Dispatcher are second shift M-F: 2pm-10pm. Overtime on Saturdays occasionally too. This is a contract to permanent opportunity looking to have someone start right away!
Key Responsibilities of the Dispatcher:
Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods, ensuring on-time deliveries and efficient routing
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal teams, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction
Monitor and track shipments in real time, updating stakeholders with status reports and addressing any delays or disruptions efficiently
Maintain detailed and accurate records in the company’s systems, including trip logs, delivery confirmations, and driver documentation
Utilize logistics software to optimize routes, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers to provide instructions, support, and necessary updates
Analyze performance metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in customer service, logistics, dispatching, or transportation coordination.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle high-volume requests efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Able to provide friendly customer service and phone etiquette skills
