Role: Wristband Assembler Level 1

Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: Minimum starting rate of £12.31 per hour

Shift Rate: Additional 20% of basic salary

Hours: Double Day shifts alternated weekly. Running 1 week on “earlies” 6.15am till 2.15pm (8hr day with one 30-minute lunch break) 37.5hrs per week. Then rotating to 1 week on “lates” 1.45pm till 22.15pm Monday to Thursday (8.5hr days with one 30 min break), then Friday 1.45pm till 7.15pm (5.5hrs no break on this day) 37.5hrs per week

You’ll be part of the fantastic Zebra Wristband team that that builds wristband cartridges for our Healthcare customers including the NHS. You will be putting together multiple individual small components into a cartridge then testing, labelling, and boxing them ready for shipment to customers, all within our world class Manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

Some of your duties will include:

· Working within a small assembly team

· Working across 3 different stations completing various assembly sections of a wristband cartridge

· Assembling, clamping, testing, labelling, and packing of cartridges

· Using a PC and operating various printers (all training provided)

· Following instructions and procedures on each customer job jacket

· Operating various pieces of mechanical equipment (all training provided)

· Troubleshoot problems

· Following a shipping list with the require dates for customers’ orders

· Ensure product meets quality requirements when receiving

· Operate power industrial trucks such as electric and manual pallet trucks. Equipment training and internal certification are provided free of cost.

· Adhere to strict Health & Safety Guidelines and processes

You'll will also need to be able to:

· Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts

· Use trolleys or hand trucks to move items around

· Go up and down stairs (where applicable)

· Complete overtime to help the team cover holidays and other instances

· Good dexterity and attention to detail

Qualifications:

· Prior assembly work experience would be desirable

· Able to work using own initiative

· Excellent eye for detail

· Able to problem solve

· Able to work as part of a team.

· Basic IT Skills
