Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Portage, Michigan
Description We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team located in PORTAGE, Michigan. As an integral part of our team, your primary role will be to manage all aspects of accounts receivable, billing, and payroll functions in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process credit applications from customers
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as necessary
• Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including the generation of invoices, posting of payments, and account reconciliation
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure accurate revenue reporting
• Review contracts and change orders to guarantee accuracy and compliance in the billing process
• Process payroll for employees on a regular basis, including field workers and office staff
• Verify and maintain timekeeping records, and manage garnishments, deductions, and employee benefits in accordance with company policies
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal labor regulations, including tax filings and reporting
• Coordinate with HR on payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, and wage adjustments. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Demonstrable experience in Account Reconciliation.
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proficient in various Billing procedures.
• Experience with Cash Applications is required.
• Proven track record of successful Cash Collections.
• Experience in Commercial Collections is necessary.
• Familiarity with bi-Monthly Payroll procedures.
