Mississippi State Job Bank Security Officer - Part Time (Mississippi) in Pontotoc, Mississippi

This position is for a Part Time Security Officer MS position with a company located in Pontotoc, Mississippi.

 

Summary: To provide a safe and secure workplace for employees, vendors and visitors while protecting company assets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities Include: Enforce security regulations and restrictions relative to company operation. Perform visible hourly rounds of the facility to ensure the physical safety of employees and that entranceways are secure. Monitor incoming and outbound vehicles, personnel and visitors. Assist visitors in a courteous manner while following all established company visitation policies and procedures. Respond to all emergencies and take appropriate action until emergency services arrive. Create daily patrol log and log all incidents and activity. Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management. Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training. Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment. Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations. Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary.

 

Requirements and Qualifications Include: A service weapon and the ability to safely open-carry the firearm under Mississippi Law. A tactical uniform; However, company will provide logo shirts. Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. At least 5 years of experience providing armed building security or 3 years of experience as active police or law enforcement officer required. High School Diploma or GED. Certified Firearm Safety Training. CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.

 

Preferred Requirements and Qualifications Include: Retired state police or other state law enforcement officer experience preferred.
