United Musculoskeletal Partners Workers Compensation Business Development Specialist in Plano, Texas

DESCRIPTION

Collaborates with department leadership in the development and execution of the strategic plan for the workers’ compensation program growth, ensuring its alignment to the organizational vision. Assists in the marketing, referral development, and customer satisfaction efforts for the workers’ compensation program. Acts as a liaison between the practice, customers, Workers’ compensation community stakeholders, as well as plans events, and seeks out new business development opportunities through the utilization of data, dashboards and metrics. Plans, organizes, and directs the evaluation of new and existing business opportunities to grow market share, optimize revenue and achieve budgeted business development targets. Works closely in collaboration with supervisor for business development of workers’ compensation service lines and facilitating the strategic planning process prior to operational implementation. Contributes to the implementation of all growth strategies to develop, enhance and monitor relations between medical staff and referral sources.

  • As a key member of the Business Development team the Business Development Representative:

  • Assists in the workers’ compensation marketing plan and strategic goals for the organization.

  • Tracks and analyzes data and volume trends to grow new volume

  • Develops, manages and monitors existing relationships and opportunity for further integration

  • Utilizes data specific strategies to grow practice presence in workers’ compensation.

  • Performs in-depth client/prospect needs analysis resulting in full solutions proposals as needed

  • Analyzes all aspects of territory and accounts and identifies largest areas for improvement and implements strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.

  • Develops and creates networking opportunities with referral sources and agencies within the community

  • Networks and participates in community events and committees.

  • Coordinates professional development opportunities and other community events.

  • Prospects, identifies, contacts, and develops new and qualified customers/clients, focusing on attorneys, employers, and may include other referral sources.

  • Develops and maintains service relationships with clients.

  • Assists in the delivery of product solutions to meet the needs of prospects and customers.

  • Identifies issues of referral accounts to assure complete satisfaction through all stages of the sales and delivery process. Manages relationships with clients to retain/renew existing business and add incremental business.

  • Assist with implementation and development of specialty programs for referral development.

  • Monitors satisfaction of patients, referral sources and other customers.

  • Contribute to a culture within workers’ compensation that fosters a high performing team that are focused on the achievement of growth and profit objectives.

  • Communicates plans and status to team and leadership.

  • Reviews practice month end reports, to include but not limited to new patient counts by provider, revenues, and targeted service lines.

  • Prepares monthly marketing reports and other marketing reports, as needed.

  • Performs special projects as requested.

  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a consultative sales role, with additional core skills of communication, interpersonal relationships and negotiation

  • Healthcare and sales experience preferred, with an understanding of managed care, reimbursement dynamics (payor strategy)

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to track, trend and understand data relevant to growth and opportunity

  • Driven and self-motivated with the ability to perform at a high level working autonomously when needed

  • Understanding of business data/outcomes and experience using data to support/refute hypotheses, build strategies and guide actions

  • Technically literate with computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platform(s) and EMRs

  • A client service mentality – you understand that we exist to support and deliver for the practices that are part of UMP

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIORNMENT

Work may be fast-paced and intense at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptions may occur. Schedule requires flexibility to occasionally include evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
