Description:

This role offers the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge Custody Platform within the financial services sector, contributing to a multi-year program with significant impact. If you are a skilled Full-Stack Java Developer with a passion for financial technology, we encourage you to apply.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $73 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop microservices within a data-oriented architecture

• Focus on back-end development (70%) and front-end Angular work (30%)

• Write and optimize PL/SQL for Oracle database interactions

• Implement message-based processing using MQ/Series and Kafka

• Develop and maintain applications using the Spring/Spring Boot framework

• Build and integrate with Docker/Kubernetes containerized environments

• Participate in Agile development processes

• Collaborate with platform engineering and core product teams

• Mentor junior team members

• Work across different microservices as needed based on quarterly planning

• Implement unit tests and follow BDD testing methodologies

• Handle large volumes of data, particularly cloud-to-cloud data transfers

Experience Requirements:

• 7-10 years in Java development with significant hands-on experience in required technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience with MQ/Series and Kafka event systems

• Proficient Java coding skills using Spring/Spring Boot framework

• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

• Expertise in Microservices architecture

• Front-end development using Angular

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database and PL/SQL

• High priority experience with message-based processing using MQ/Series and Kafka

• Familiarity with Snowflake

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes

• Proficiency in Azure cloud platform

• Jenkins-based CI/CD

• Unit testing with JMocks

• BDD-based Cucumber test frameworks

• Experience handling large data volumes and cloud data transfers

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Similar

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
