Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant (Biostatistics Tutor) will work under the supervision of the Office of the Dean and Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology within the School of Public Health. The Student Assistant (Biostatistics Tutor) will provide services to answer SPH students' biostatistics questions that may arise from the courses and/or projects.Among the key duties of this position are the following Meets with School of Public Health students who are taking either Introduction to Biostatistics or Biostatistical Computing to provide them with additional support and help with understanding the concepts that are taught in those classes. Works with the Dean's Office and the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology to arrange virtual tutoring sessions and working hours

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Current Rutgers' student enrolled in a Master's Degree Program in Public Health or related field with a concentration in statistics or biostatistics required.
  • Must have appropriate biostatistics training and experience and knowledge in basic statistical methods (e.g., two-sample t-test, ANOVA, Chis-square tests, etc), regression, and statistics software (SAS and R).
