The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Systems Administrator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to provide technical support and information systems management to the U.S. Navy Conventional Ammunition Division of the Systems Integration Department located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. As an integral part of our highly experienced and capable team, you will apply your technical acumen in supporting a vital role for our Navy customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support across multiple areas of systems administration.

  • Manage and optimize server environments.

  • Implement and manage network security measures.

  • Manage cloud-based resources.

  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

  • Deploy and manage scalable applications using containerization and orchestration tools.

  • Implement cybersecurity principles, vulnerability assessments, and incident response strategies to protect network and data assets.

  • Conduct data management and analytics to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, and inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer or information science.

  • 5 years minimum experience, in performing systems administration and/or technical tasking similar to the work described below.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or ability to pursue such certifications, to demonstrate professional competence and keep abreast of industry standards.

  • Server Management: Proficiency in managing and optimizing server environments, including Linux and Windows Server configurations.

  • Network Security: Expertise in implementing and managing network security measures, including network configurations and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

  • Cloud Services and Architecture: Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to architect and manage cloud-based resources.

  • Scripting and Automation: Familiarity in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible) for automating routine tasks.

  • Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) for deploying and managing scalable applications.

  • Cybersecurity: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability assessments, and incident response strategies to protect network and data assets.

  • Data Management and Analytics: Ability to manage and analyze log data to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, and inform strategic decisions.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing network environments and requirements.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN), including wired and wireless technologies.

  • Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles and technologies to dynamically control network behavior through abstraction of lower-level functionality.

  • Understanding of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) concepts to virtualize network functions, improving resource utilization and flexibility.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
