We are seeking a results-oriented Project Manager to oversee and manage key projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing resources, timelines, and risks effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to drive project success and achieve business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Leads definition of engineering approaches and in planning and scheduling work, including the creation of scope sheets to gain alignment on project scope and budget

  • Effectively develop and manage project schedules.

  • Ensure all project milestones are achieved within identified and documented time, budget, and performance expectations for multiple projects.

  • Monitor projects from initiation through first delivery.

  • Monitor and report the status of all projects to executive staff, project sponsors, clients and other stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between functional groups and with the client.

  • Effectively maps project schedules to the Work Breakdown Structure

  • Effectively understand, communicate and resolve project issues with project stakeholders

  • Maintain the necessary project metrics

  • Responsible for ensuring scope change is identified, documented and communicated to the program manager for assertion

  • Evaluate, develop, and/or implement standards and procedures for project management methodology, practices, procedures, and tools. Creates and checks solid models and assemblies from engineering sketches and descriptions.

  • Mentors early career engineers and provides instruction and support to team members

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with consistent project performance of schedule adherence, achieving budget, meeting customer requirements, scope management, and project close out achieved with satisfied internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of requirements management and change control.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross functional teams from Mechanical, Electrical, Software and Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement

  • Demonstrated competence in communicating all project aspects with internal and external customers

  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, schedule, resource plans and budget with the support of the IPDT and Engineering Leadership

  • Demonstrated ability of effectively adopting the CMS (or equivalent) new product introduction process, and comfortable with using CORE tools, or equivalent.

  • Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to handle conflict resolution between team members.

  • Strong Continuous Improvement and customer focus

  • Working knowledge of MS Project including resource loading and critical path analysis

  • Working knowledge and experience with earned value management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to act strategically and tactically to support successful project completion

  • Ability to identify risk triggers and effectively use risk management process to meet project requirements

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written skills.

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs/software.

  • Project Management Professional certification

  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets

Qualifications you must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field (technical degree preferred.)

5 years of relevant experience

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
