TEKsystems Medical Scheduler in Phoenix, Arizona
TEKsystems has an exciting new medical scheduler job opening for a national health organization in Phoenix! Please apply if you have prior experience scheduling in a healthcare setting and are looking for your next role assisting patients!
Description:
Schedule and register patient appointments and/or provide information for other requests (e.g., addresses/directions,
phone numbers, hours of operations, other departments, such as billing, etc.). Process all phone, fax, email, and other
communication channel requests with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy.
Update patients of the status of their referral or authorizations.
Answers, screens, and processes a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner. Directs patient access to the
practice by scheduling and canceling patient appointments for a multiple providers.
Communicates, to patients and internal and external ordering physicians' offices, complex exam preparations instructions
including, but not limited to, pre-procedure laboratory test requirements and other necessary preparations instructions.
On-site for the first 6 months, potential to go remote based on performance and attendance after 6 months.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1 year in a patient focused, administrative healthcare role (scheduler, insurance verification specialist, front desk receptionist)
Medical Assistant Diploma or Cert Preferred but not required
Certified Nurse Assistant Diploma or Cert Preferred but not required
Bilingual in Spanish - preferred but not required
Experience Level:
Intermediate Level
