*Where You Will Work   *

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you will collaborate primarily virtually anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded based on business factors. Occasionally, you may be required to attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration.  In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

Description

Under general supervision, assist attorneys and legal managers in day-to-day legal tasks. Conduct legal research, manage deadlines and projects, assist with maintaining entity status, assist with entity formations, qualifications, and withdrawals, interface with outside counsel and other parties, collaborate with co-workers and other department personnel, and prepare legal documents to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. In this role, you are expected to maintain confidential and/or sensitive information.

  • Identify, gather and review information to comply with information requests, research requests, due diligence, or to investigate factual evidence of a transaction, event, proceeding or case; prepare reports, summaries, tables, charts or diagrams to display such information.

  • Draft corporate minutes and other complex, corporate documents as needed.

  • Work closely with Corporate Secretary Team to ensure that all pertinent information, documents and records are appropriately organized and maintained in centralized Legal Department electronic files.

  • Assist with management of US and international legal entities to ensure the entities remain in good standing.

  • Perform data entry, run reports, and help maintain the entity management database and other relevant databases.

  • Interface with in-house counsel and staff, outside counsel, contractors, government agencies and business clients on legal matters or assigned projects.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies OR Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program AND (2) two years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, working knowledge of database programs, including SharePoint.

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and consistently focus on attention to details.

  • Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Possess excellent knowledge of reading, writing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading, and formatting in order to interpret source data, prepare corporate transactional documents and forms, and proofread material for grammatical, typographical and spelling errors.

  • Ability and willingness to keep client and department matters confidential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with corporate secretary matters and entity management.

  • Committed to professional development and training.

  • Curiosity and excellent work ethic.

Criteria/Conditions:

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds.

  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

The estimated pay range for this role is currently  $26.00 - $36.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
