Naval Air Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Patuxent River, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Air Systems Group, Logistics Department, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Responsibilities You will establish processes and guidelines that ensure that the supportability analyses performed are logical, analytical, repeatable, and auditable, and result in successful identification of maintenance requirements and support alternatives. You will support IPT and Program Office leadership as required in support of Operational Safety Improvement Program (OSIP) plans, Weapon System Planning Documents (WSPD), Maintenance Plans, as well as other required logistics plans. You will develop and implement maintenance capability establishment to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve aviation program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost You will compile and monitor depot induction/completion and performance data You will do all other tasks as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrating working knowledge of logistics management in support of aviation program and aircraft weapons systems; 2) Developing and implementing maintenance capability establishment to support maintenance concepts/requirements to achieve aviation program goals and objectives within budget and life cycle cost; 3) Demonstrating working knowledge of engineering principles, test and evaluation, technical data, maintenance planning and management, integrated logistics support (ILS) concepts, and supportability analysis; and 4) Providing logistics expertise and guidance to employees, management, and other program stakeholders to ensure that designed logistics support systems meet established supportability requirements and performance parameters.
