EPS Corporation is currently seeking a candidate for Communications Engineer at Panama City Beach, Fl

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

o SHF Hawkeye III/IV or equivalent VSAT terminals

o HF (Harris PRC-160)

o VHF (Harris PRC-152/PRC-117/PRC-163)

o UHF (Harris PRC-152/PRC-117/PRC-163)

o Commercial SATCOM terminals Starshield, O3b, etc.

o Troposcatter BLOS systems

o Type 1 Encryption COMSEC handling and training

o iDirect TDMA Modem

o Comtech 5650 FDMA Modem

o EBEM FDMA Modem

o Video Teleconferencing Codec equipment

o Satellite Access Request (SAR)/Gateway Access Request (GAR)

o RoIP (ACU-2000/RF-7800W/MPU5)

o Troubleshooting RF Communication and IP Network Transport Paths

o Attend conferences and trade shows when required

o Assist in Engineering Change Control process and documentation requirements

o Self-motivated

o 25% travel

o Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Expeditionary Tactical Communications such as the Harris Falcon III suite of radios, CBSP SHF SATCOM systems, antennas and coax troubleshooting, and power and RF safety requirements.

o Troubleshoot RF, IF, and Ethernet path issues throughout the Transport Network from deployed station to DISA TELEPORT Gateway.

o Resolve interoperability external problems to obtain operations across all platforms e-mail, NIPR/SIPR connectivity, VoIP, VoSIP, and VTC services.

o Review technical documentation related to design, implementation and sustainmentof satellite terminals.

o Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques for RF systems.

o Experience with RF devices, particularly beyond line of sight systems.

o Tracking and coordinating RMA issues with NIWC and appropriate vendors

o Serve as technical advisor to architects, designers, engineers, customers, and management on all aspects of communications.

o Knowledge of modem aspects: modulation, coding, spectrum, bulk encryption, Bit Error Rate (BER), Eb/N0, ES/N0, phase locked loops (PLLs), carrier and symbol synchronization, forward error correction (FEC), frequency division multiple access(FDMA), time division multiple access (TDMA), frequency hop spread spectrum(FHSS), direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS)

o Coordination with DISA TELEPORT STEP and Wideband SATCOM Controllers to obtain Satellite operations connection for SHF X-Band and Ku-Band paths.

o Setup and maintain OE-570 Antenna Control Unit to acquire UHF SAT Voice circuits.

o Operation of JPS ACU-2000 RoIP and Harris RF-7800I Intercom Systems.

o Operating UPS and Power Conditioners.

o Knowledge and operation of Spectrum Analyzer and Cable Coax test equipment.

o Work with Project Manager to ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements and milestones

o Ability to work independently and with small teams.

o Must be able to track and report status directly to customer.

o Knowledge on repair, installation, and maintenance of radio transmission, mobile broadband, ship-to-shore, and air-to-ground communications systems.

Active Security Clearance.

Minimum Educational Requirement: BS or BA degree is preferred.
