MAPLE LAWN NURSING HOME Accounting Clerk/Payroll in Palmyra, Missouri

Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.

Duties:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Process payroll processing and ensure accuracy
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
  • Assist with tax preparation and audits
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Utilize accounting software

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of an Associates degree in related field preferred. Should have at least two or more years of computer and accounting experience. Prior health care experience is helpful.

Specific Requirements:

  • Must have basic knowledge of payroll, accounts payable and accounting practices and procedures.
  • Must be patient, tactful and willing to handle stressful situations and meet deadlines of the Accounting Department.
  • Must communicate and maintain an effective, professional relationship with the Controller and all nursing home personnel.
  • Must maintain accurate accounting activity.
  • Must be flexible to change with new methods.
  • Must operate hardware and software computer systems.
  • Must be responsible and accountable for carrying out your assigned duties.
  • Must possess the ability to examine and verify the accuracy of documents and reports.
  • Must possess the ability to plan and implement goals and objectives of the Controller.
