Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, VCA Hospitality Management, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
General Hospitality Job Functions:
– Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, towels, and cleaning signs. Consistently maintain the pool and keep it free from debris between the operational hours, 7:00am through 9:00pm
– Set up umbrellas and chaise lounge on pool deck
– Guests must register when picking up and when dropping off towels on the control sheet; towels are to be turned in at the ending of the day to avoid charges
– Guests must sign-out and return of supplies (Games, floaters etc.)
– At the end of each shift a copy of the control log is to be turned in at the Front Desk
– Observes and patrols pool and enforces safety regulations
– Assist swimmers from water when in danger.
– Full towel control is to be conducted when sending out soiled towels to the laundry, a total of exactly (30) thirty towels per was
– Monthly inventory to be conducted together with accounting
– Umbrellas must be turned down at 6:00pm daily
– All incidents / accidents are to be reported to security, direct report or MOD
– Attendants should conduct constant patrols around the pool area, sustain from sitting in the towel hut
– Secure the towel hut after shift or during absence from towel hut
Typical Duties:
– Work closely with other departments that are essential to ensuring a positive guest experience.
– Provide excellent service consistent with the hotels standards operating procedures and brand attributes.
– Greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance with seating whenever possible, and delivering consistent guest service, exceeding guest expectations, and providing all other supporting services.
Performs guest safety and recreational work supervising, swimming and enforcing regulations at a hotel pool as well as providing for the guest-s comfort. An essential responsibility of this role includes ensuring cleanliness, setting -up and safety of all areas and facilities and attend to all guests needs within the hotel pool area as per the safety guidelines of the hotels management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
– Must have good understanding of the English language. CPR and First Aide Certified is an added advantage.
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Ready to work varied shifts during Weekdays, weekends and holidays.
– Able to work independently and with minimum supervision
– Able to analyze and solve problems
– Good skills
